Welcome

If you’re reading this, you’re probably in one of the two ENG 105 courses I am teaching this semester. If not, well, congratulations on finding this distant corner of the Internet.

In any case, welcome.

I hope that this post will be the start of what becomes a semester-long conversation among us all as we consider ideas of literacy, technology, rhetoric, writing, civic discourse, and what these mean for ourselves and for democracy. The best conversations are interesting, enlightening, and entertaining. They are at times rigorous and can go in unexpected directions. In those ways I hope our work here follows the model of the best conversations.
